Outfit: Fitted dress featuring 1940s style tailoring – side gather, ruching to back and puffed sleeves.

Shoes: Black and white spectator style heels with lace up front feature.

Hair: Curled, Victory rolls to front and the lengths caught in a black crocheted snood.

Accessories: Black seamed stockings, gold knot stud earrings, vintage rose gold locket (Mum’s), antique engraved rose gold bangle.

Perfume: Stella McCartney ‘Stella’.

  1. Demi—were not the hems of the 1940’s a bit lower than these outfits suggest? They look great and the younger set may have indeed gotten away with hems of dresses and skirts this short—but wasn’t the general trend down closer to the ankles?
